Lia and Jaylen
L: The walk home was peaceful, with the pretty trees, nice homes, and clean green yards. The only thing I didn't understand was the way people looked at me. I was kind and polite and they didn't even know me but they judged me, i could see it in their eyes. I smiled and waved, and they looked and walked right past me. Not even nod in return they just completely ignored me.
J: The walk home was frightening, If I walked alone, I wouldn't have made it home. Ive lost so many friends because of these days. I fear it will never stop. So many different losses in too many horrible ways. Drive-bys, police, fights and so many more. People here are so strong and all hope to get our one day but with the current situation, it feels like it'll never happen.
