Lia and Jaylen

ree

L: I did so much to fit in, I changed my hair so they wouldn't make fun of me, and I wore makeup to cover up pigmentation so they wouldn't notice, I changed the way I spoke so they could understand me better. I changed the way I move, acted, and dress so I wouldn't scare them. So that I could make THEM comfortable.

J: I fit in so well, everyone knew me and everyone understood me. They all loved my coils, my skin, and the way I spoke, dressed, and acted. They were like me and I felt safe. These people are my home. I was comfortable.
